Why should I use a disc jockey instead of a band?

Maybe this question should be what is the difference between a band and a Professional Entertainer? In the past we have worked with many bands and have found a few things to be true. A Disc Jockey has less personnel to rely on to show up and provide an optimum performance. Live bands may be limited to what they can play well. Y.E.S. Your Entertainment Specialists' extensive music library can keep your guests motivated with over 30,000 requestable songs. The music only stops playing at times you specify (toasts.) Professional Interactive Entertainment is a FREE bonus offered by us, we love to motivate your guests. Band members may be more limited with interaction. Ask yourself this, do you want music, or professional interactive entertainment?

How will the Professional Entertainer dress?

Our Professional Entertainers all wear tuxedos!  Occasionally casual corporate Polo Shirts and Slacks may be necessary or you may request something specific on your booking confirmation.

What type of audio and lighting equipment will be used?

You Aren't Supposed to know what "DSP-based stereo reverb controls" is supposed to mean!
We are pretty sure that
"EQs with FLS® " doesn't mean much to you either!

That's Why we don't BRAG about the "STUFF" with a big list of names and numbers...we just GUARANTEE IT'S THE BEST!

What music will be played at my function?

Y.E.S. Your Entertainment Specialists knows how to "read" your guests and choose the perfect combination of music to play as well as the requests made by you and your guests. When we meet with you, you can indicate specific requests and what styles of music you feel is appropriate (or inappropriate) for your function. The Professional Entertainer will use this information along with professional judgment in selecting music and in honoring requests.

What if I request music that Y.E.S. Your Entertainment Specialists doesn't own?

Our music collection is quite large and does include most common requests. However, if you give an advance request for music that we do not own, we will make every effort to obtain it for your function. The further in advance we receive the request, the more likely we'll be able to get it.

How will I know what to do and when the events occur during my wedding reception?

Y.E.S. Your Entertainment Specialists will begin by sending you a comprehensive 20 page reception planner of questions, song lists, and tips to help make your wedding reception a success. This will also include an order of events which you may modify to your satisfaction. We will then speak with you prior to your reception to go over any final details. During you reception we will guide you through each event from start to finish. This includes announcements, coordination with the other wedding professionals at your event (caterer, photographer, videographer, etc.), and, of course, a carefully selected variety of music. Our Professional Entertainers will run and coordinate your entire reception for you. You don't need to worry about anything! We will let you know when each event will take place and what to do. We will also coordinate with the photographer, videographer, and caterer to ensure a seamless and integrated reception.

Do you use CDs, tapes, or records?

Our entire music collection consists of all compact discs. This gives you the best sound quality and transitions between songs.

What types of music do you have?

We use all compact discs.  All of our music is acquired through industry businesses which specifically provide music to radio stations, clubs, and Professional Entertainers. We realize that the selection of music a Professional Entertainer has is a very important factor, and we are fanatics about maintaining a comprehensive CD music library. We have one of the largest compact disc music libraries in New England. Our collections consists of everything from the 1940's through today's hits, and are updated weekly. We have all types of music including: alternative, adult contemporary, big band, classic rock, country, dance, house, Motown, oldies, R&B, rap, rock, specialty music, techno, top 40, and much more! We make it a point to keep up on new music. In fact, you'll find that at any given time we'll have over 90% of the songs found on Billboard's Top 100 Singles chart!

How much do you charge?

The biggest mistake most people make is that this is the ONLY question they ask! The Professional Entertainer is the most important factor in the success of your event. Dinner may  last for an hour; The limousine ride is usually a few short minutes; Cake is devoured in seconds; Flowers are beautiful, but immediately dismissed. Your Professional Entertainer is on display and performing for the ENTIRE EVENT! Price should be your last consideration in looking for a Professional Entertainer. Y.E.S. Your Entertainment Specialists begins by selecting talented individuals. We then put them through an extensive training and evaluation course including classroom and on-site training. Only after they have passed this training, and our strict approval, do we send them out to host an event.
